Hi all,

After several years of wanting one-this week I bought my first Coupe-a 2000 20vTurbo in red. (thanks to Stu of this forum for a great car and a pleasant transaction)

The car is simply amazing-but has one or two things I can see I am going to need to do to make sure she is 100%.

The forum is a fantastic source-but if there are any members living in essex who fancy meeting up for a pint and a chat-I'd greatly appreciate listening to your owners experiences.

Trust I have not inadvertently broken a forum rule by trying to arrange a meet-up like this. PM me if your in or around Essex and I will look forward to speaking with you.

Regards all

I'd book it in at Power Italia for peace of mind then go to the meet to swap repair bill stories smile

Come along to Essex Meet IV if you want to meet a few censored smile

I'd second getting it down to PowerItalia also. Give Rog a call to find out the next Saturday he's open and pop down there. There's always a few owners there and Rog and Pube know the cars inside out smile

F****** b****** thing...

Thanks guys,

I just looked up the essex meet-and that sounds cool.

I have spent a lot of this weekend cleaning my coupe, and getting to grip with all of the things I now need to do to make sure its right.

Get a new alarm-as the last owner had the fobs disintegrate on him.
Radio is not working (went south when the last owner disconnected the battery for winter)
sort out the thermostat-as the car runs colder then ideal

The car has fairly low miles and has been regularly serviced, with cambelt, lower suspension arms, etc done. It flies along-but I bought it knowing it will need some work-probably suspension, brakes etc. And some bodywork to sort out the stone chipping etc.

I also have spent some time looking at coupe specialists-and poweritalia are so close-I will pop it down to them in the next couple of weeks and get their assesment /and a full service

Neil20vt-I am in the same area as you! Do you own the gunmetal/silver coupe??

Regards
