Just been talking to the owner of the coupé who I parked next too. Really nice car in great condition, The owner was telling me how much they enjoy the "ooomph" and how their friends mock them. They didn't like the steering lock but would never change the car. She was 74.

I did mention that there was a big community on the internet dedicated to the coupé but she didn't seem that bothered but was so happy that she could talk power and the sheer pleasure it brings her

She was from Southampton, I didnt get that far to ask her for a meeting Duncan, one might have got a funny look
This is my second experience with someone who's advanced in their years driving a coupé. The other one was at a roundabout when I gave a wave to this lady and I was greeted with rather puzzled look and promptly ignored

Some people just assume everyone is on the forum and wave at each other all the time

The lady may have been puzzled to see another Coupe on the road, but wondered what you were waving at

I've seen a few Coupes around, but by the time you realise it's another Coupe and try to wave/flash, etc, it can be too late

I'm sure I've nearly crashed a couple of times, by looking back and trying to give an acknowledgment signal to another Coupe driver

Some people don't know that you are 'supposed to wave at each other'

My Mum doesn't wave to anyone she sees in the same type of Toyota as hers, as she doesn't know what make and model car she's looking at most of the time

If she's out and about in her motorhome though, she waves to all the other motorhomes she sees

Was it a porto? Saw a couple my way in a 20vt, well into their 70s, the guy driving had a hat on too
