Spa weather this morning is dry and sunny 19 degrees

Well only a few days before the big event

I would have liked to be able to say my coupe is perfectly ready, but the reality is otherwise.

- The bonnet struts gave up last week, needs a stick to keep it open
- The brakes feel spongey and don't give much confidence (despite recent new fluid and bleeding)
- My cracked front lip decided to fall apart completely and it now held on with epoxy glue and ducttape
- my front tyres are on the limit, although if all goes well I should get a new pair tomorrow (which probably isn't a good idea as I'll probably knacker them on the track)
- I wanted to have a service + cambelt done before, but couldn't find the time to do so.
- Gearbox oil needed changing, gearchange is a bit crap at the moment (didn't manage to do that either).

Otherwise though it's fine and obviously thse minor points will not stop me having fun this weekend (that is if it doesn't decide to break down halfway )

90 mins and i leave work, T will be at mine for 12.30 and we'll hopefully be meeting some others along the route to Ashford, then tomoz should be a great convoy through france and belgium - then the beer flows

I think there's a problem with my cheapo sat nav

It's trying to tell me to go home on Sunday via a 130 mile detour taking in some derestricted (albeit sadly mostly 2+2 lane only) autobahns

MattB is due here shortly for a pitstop.......what he doesn't realise, yet, is I have a cloth drenched with chloroform ready, so I'll be borrowing his keys/wallet/credit cards/coupé whilst he lies unconscious, and will meet you all later!

My bed is in the van,along with food and booze.I pick the trailor up at 2 this afternoon.Lets hope the coupe goes on ok! About 500 miles for us,so we will leave this afternoon and get most of the journey out of the way.
So hopefully by the time you all get there i should have a cold beer waiting for those that are staying at the campsite.

As soon as the dates are confirmed i'll stick it on the planner ;), same with Bristol and Brooklands.

There's not much goes on in this neck of the woods so will definitely be planning a few trips down south for next year.

I've just ot back from Hospital, fractured my hand last night playing footie...just as well i gave up my ticket as i couldn't go anyway.
