I was at my parents house today and they were getting a new alarm fitted by two nice chaps. I was in the garage doing a few bits on the coupe. One of them came in to fit the alarm in there. "ahh thats a well nice fiat" I was shocked he actually knew what it was I thanked him and carried on what i was doing "yours isnt the special edition one tho is it" I explained that mine was an LE and there was also a plus edition "no but you havent got the ferrari badges" I laughed thinking he was taking the piss and explained that its a bit sad when people cover the car in ferrari badges... i wasnt prepared for the next bit "no honestly mate, trust me i spend a lot of time around italian cars. Fiat did a special one which was done with ferrari and it comes with the badges as standard" I replied wow really? I didnt know that! "yes they are really rare tho but you should keep and eye out as ive seen a few out on the road" Ahh ok i will do thanks for that mate, i havent had this car very long and i didnt know that. Maybe i will see if one pops up for sale ... I didnt feel like being mean today

He must be thinking of the Dino which came badged as a Dino for low end models and Ferrari for top end cars.
16VT and X1/9 1500 + e208 Peugeot
We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using. I even unplugged my own.

Mario, that guy was partially right.
In 2001, a year after production on the Fiat Coupe ended, Fiat (who as we all know are the parent company of Ferrari) discovered that they had a lot of spare Ferrari badges at the Turin factory (where the Coupe had been built alongside Ferraris).
Wanting to capitalise on the fact that Fiat owned Ferrari and of course all that rich racing heritage, Fiat decided to release a final, highly limited edition of Coupes. They gave this project the name of 'Working with Team Ferrari' or 'WTF' for short.
Fiat supplied the cars. Ferrari supplied the badges. Employees from both companies came to work early everyday and put in some astonishing over time. Cars were resprayed red, badges were stuck on and new friendships were formed.
The dream didn't last long though.
At one point it was discovered that a Fiat employee was stealing Ferrari badges from work and sticking them on his bicycle. He was sacked. It then turned out that a Ferrari employee was stealing Portofino paint, to paint his bathroom. That employee was sacked too.
Sadly, what could have been the best partnership in motoring history had to be called off. The cars they had worked on were crushed, the spare Ferrari badges they had were crushed, the spare red paint they had was crushed, the hopes and dreams of many, were crushed.
But all was not lost. For you see, Coupe owners all around the world bought multi packs of Ferrari badges and enthusiastically stuck them onto their Coupes. Some resprayed their Coupes red, some didn't - after all, it was only the badge that mattered.
So although project WTF never came true, it still lives on. Because every time you see a Coupe with a Ferrari badge, whats the first thing that comes to mind....
''WTF?!?''

As an aside - if you get a chance, check out how much Ferrari charge to have the optional extra front wing badges fitted to your new P&J when you spec it at the time of ordering!!
Clue - it's a LONG way into 4 figures!
