Hi Everyone,
Im changing my front discs as they have warped since i put them on 2 months ago And im thinking of getting some brembo sports drilled or black diamond drilled.
Any thoughts on which is best? and has anyone heard of the brembo gold discs?
BTW my coup will be tuned to approx 280bhp so will this brakes be enough?
Cheers

I dont really want slotted discs as they make more noise, but are the 3G ones any good? and do they make drilled ones?

Well the 3G ones are the only ones that haven't been killed by Nigel or Hanny yet. TBH the noise it makes isn't that much noiser / louder

Drilled discs tend to crack if they have been drilled after being cast. Drilled discs are also mainly just for show - if you want more performance get grooved 3G / pagid discs and put up with the noise, otherwise go for standard discs and uprated pads, which will give you better braking by themselves.

Most of the holes on my LE drilled discs are clogged up :cry
I had grooved discs on the Tipo and thought they were great. The noise isn't intrusive and the idea makes more sense on a road car. Don't look as nice though

Remember 3G's are made from Brembo blanks too.

I have black diamond discs on the rear and they are OK. I hvae had black diamond on the front and they warped. They were returned to the factory for testing and they were warped. As they are a good company they sent me another set, saying that there must have had something wrong with the first set. The second set also warped . Standard, red dot (?) and brembo all went the same way. 3G are the only ones that have taken the abuse along with yellow pads (bit wooden until hot and they squeak) and now grey pads which are very good, people also say that the blue pads are good but ive not had these.

It seems people dont like the brembo's which would put me off buying them.. except they fit brembo's standard to Ferrari's, Aston's and Porsche's so they must be good???
Has anyone actually had any brembo sport discs? and how did they perform?

On a lot of high end car they drill the discs just for show.....
The 3G discs are brembo castings and you can get various options as far as the number of grooves goes. They are only about £150 quid for a pair....just get them.
