Just fitted the 60 trim hybrid and FMIC.
Getting it mapped next week but Leighton said it would be Ok to give it a bit of stick in second....just to make sure it works.I have not gone on boost in any other gear and in second was only for seconds.
Well, tried it in second for a few seconds giving it stick and no "throw you back in the chair"
Is this because of more air due to the FMIC and it being in need of mapping?
I am seeing boost on my EBC display so it should be boosting.
Thanks,
Paul

It does spool up a bit later on, bit smoother on the power delivery. Will be good when mapped.

It's in the high revs (4000+) where you'll notice the real difference. Where the standard turbo runs out of puff the hybrid will keep pulling harder and harder. I wouldnt take it up there before it's been mapped though really, give it a few 2000-4000 rpm runs to get it properly spooled up and giving the bearings/seals a chance to settle in nicely before flea works his magic on it.

You'll feel the difference once its mapped.... I have the same turbo as you and have over 300bhp.

Nice one Tim.
It is getting mapped next week so I hope so.
What is the difference like although it was mapped standard a few months ago at 261 ?
Hope I feel a difference in the beast.

spit it will be like night and day if all is running as it should - mine was originally running 238bhp as standard, and after mapping it was like another car entirely - faster, sharper, smoother and felt a whole lot more powerful.....i'm back there saturday getting the fuelling sorted, but it's a great experience (mostly) although i've had some very bad experiences through a bad engine whilst down there.

if you don't find it massively better i'll buy you a pint..... wink

Check out this thread

I was running on a Gtech2 chip prior to getting it mapped, as Proccy says, it is simply night and day - it absolutely flies....

Don't worry about it, just get it done. thumb

Cheers buddy smile
I have had it mapped before as well but hoping this will be even better with a hybrid and all the other goodies as opposed to mapped when standard.
