got that x reg silver 300bhp model off ebay
right fixed all the faults, got it taxed and tested today after 2 weeks work
so it runs ok,3 bar pressure 2 when hot idle
charge cooler runs just above 90 degrees in traffic just under on run,is this ok?
where is the turbo located? as i feel its standard, feels just like my last one did
supposed to have hybrid turbo etc etc
where is the chip located? supposed to have chip in there.
is there any way to adjust the hybrid turbo boost without boost controler etc?
just feels about 220bhp to be honest
ben

way to find out is to stick it on a rolling road and see what power it puts out!!

I suppose any rolling road could check it out for fuelling and power (I'd be concerned it's safe unless I knew everything that had been done - fuel fump / fpr??).

I presume it's got a SMIC and charge cooler rather than FMIC - is that okay for 300bhp?

It says ECU-REMAP rather than some generic chip so who knows maybe it has been to Flea or someone similar - got any hsitory with it that could tell you where it was done?

You say that but when I got my cars back I was a bit underwhelmed with the 315bhp because the delivery is so smooth with a flea map.

Of course when I got in my standard I was like oooh I see, slower. The brief boost surge from the standard just carries on and on with the modded car.

If it's been several weeks between cars (or longer) I'd not trust my own observations.

Of course if you've just jumped from a standard to a modded car it's like night and day.

you can go upto 300bhp with a charge cooler. but thats the max tbh.

mate, get it onm a rollling road then see what happens.

Best advice.

its claiming a re-build.

Any docs saying when/what was used/who did it?

a word of safety warning, get it checkout on a rolling road incause its not fueling correclty or there is a problem some where.

where abouts are you based?

its got a millenium chip reciept for like £700 from 95
before remaps i suppose
m going to see what chip is in it now, just cleaned it,looks better already, might mop it too
it might be more than standard,i just sold a standard impreza 02 model, and its quicker than that, but not by much
i was expecting torque steer and POWER,but not that impressed.
there is a remap place doing stage 1 remapping for 199,shall i get that or drive 8 hrs to bristol?
ben

cant find the turbo,is it at the top somewhere?
ben

oh mate, sounds like you got a right result!!

i would take it to Flea, he will sort it out a treat, and tbh he is the best with the coupe. Also if you want to go over 300bhp, i would invest in a FMIC!

hi,what do you mean by result?
i thought id been done
i just took it out again by myself not with a passenger in like before and gave it some beans
it feels quick, dont get me wrong, but not as fast as my twin turbo legacy did, might just be smoother, who knows,id love to go to see flea, but its too far from durham

anyone within say 50 miles of me,just im a fulltime motor trader, and just dont have the time to spend a day away

is the charge cooler ok for now then?
ben

Just get it on a dyno. £35-60 and you'll have a much better understanding of what you're looking at. Make sure you get a fuel trace too.

F****** b****** thing...

I've just bought a coupe where the seller said it's around the 300bhp mark, and when I drove it, it felt hardly faster than the standard car. The power delivery was smooth and constant and the fuel consumption was very good, so obviously not mapped to give you the biggest kick in the back. I got two spare chips from the seller and stuck one from Flea in, and omg, what a change!!

This now feels like it could be 300bhp or maybe just under, so like has been said, get the mapping checked!

Flea mapped it for the car mate, so it's not something you can buy out the box. You will have to get yours remapped.

to blow you away so to speak you will need either a stage 3 hybrid or a gt 28rsr or rs .86 if possible they would do it for you on standard internals..if you only have a small hybrid a map from lieghton is a must to maximise it and make it feel lively
