this morning I had a eventful drive into work, as soon as I started braking at the first set of traffic light, pedal down... didn't stop!

after 5 miles into work and very slow driving I looked at the brake resevoir and empty!

noticed a few small leaks which I assumed was oil on the drive way over the last few weeks and was going to get Rog to have a look but probably a leak somewhere in the HEL lines which were put on recently.

is this common or could it be something else, or is just a case of them not being done up properly?

could be a case of the lines rubbing through against the inner wheelarch - this happened to me twice (although not with the HEL kit)

You definitely shouldn't drive it until you've investigated

I have put some cable ties around my barded lines where they meet the wheel arch. So far the cable ties (which go round and round and round and back) show a little sing of rubbing. Checked regularly and they can be replaced and the bakes stay safe.

I had this once with a broken metal brake pipe and once with my Hel lines, was a dodgy connection to a rear caliper. Caliper relaced and OK now.

it wasnt one of the braided hoses.

rear OS line looked like it was rubbing on the roll bar.

all fixed!
