Karlos,

I had standard suspension to start with. I found the ride pretty good and the handling when pushed was not confidence inspiring but was still very good.

However, I then fitted the Eibach lowering springs. This eliminated much of the body roll and left it nice and smooth around corners and r'bouts etc. However on bumpy roads the ride was pretty harsh.

Now I have the "preferred combo" for the coupe being the Eibach and the Bilsteins B6's. This definitely has reduced the springiness at high speed on bumpy roads and improved the overall handling. I have to say it is pretty rough over the bumps though. I dont think the toe in has been done correctly though!

I want to get camber bolts and use 1 degree negative camber to improve turnin and then get the four wheel alignment carried out.

Then I hope to track the car and really see what this set up has to offer.

Well here is Trackskills @ Kirkistown Dates there's one a month so plenty to choose from and time to prepare for it.

Camber bolts would be an Idea and a garage close by me has a laser set up 4 wheel alignment machine.
I think my front end is under dampened so B6's may be my next purchase if we ever see better weather again.

Perhaps we can get a track outing later this year.

You won't be seeing my 00D Burgundy 20VT+ any more around Louth. Instead, you might be spotting a 99D 20VT Ink Black instead.

The Burgundy Coupe got hit from behind last weekend so it is now a Category C (uneconomical to repair), >$7k damage to the back but still drivable. This is the second coupe that this has happened to me on.

I picked my third coupe (Ink Black) on Friday night - 81k on the clock and very well maintained. The main thing that she needs is track rod ends, everything else seems to be ok.

(Before anyone asks, both a friend and I have 20vt's so we will be using the cat-c coupe for our own personal spare parts department.)

Mick.

Hi Mccmick,

there are a few around here. There is probably four or so around the town. Only two fccuk members that I know of, Myself and daithi.

Our meets be good craic and its amazing the little things you can get sorted when the lads come together.

Usually 4-7 coupes. As I say the more the merrier.

I am really thinking of tagging along on the lancia meet in April. Love to see and be among some of the great lancia's. Anthing Italian is welcome. Details on Octane and Lancia forum.

99d scotts green onthe m50 and vinci grey 00D with m3 spoiler and really unusual two tone twisted 5 spoke alloys on the long mile road the other day. two in the same day, its funny how a couple of days of sunshine bring the coupes out of the woodwork!

I need to get my finger out and get my coop back on the road!!

Sorry to hear about the Burgundy Coupe Mccmick, all the best with the Ink Black.

Seen a yellow 20VT 98WW plate near University Hospital Galway yesterday, I'm not from Galway, but that's the 3rd Coop I've seen while walking on that road, it seems to be a hotspot for them laugh

We must have a meet soon !!

Hi mccmick!

So that was your Burgundy 20VT+ I'd seen around town over the last couple of years. You've probably spotted my Black LE around Drogheda as I work there and it's nearly always parked on Bolton Street or Liam Leech Tce/Patrick Street during the day.

I'll keep an eye out for your new Inky wink

Hi ALL,

Nice blue coupe yesterday (sunday) at the Ballymac roundabout outside Dundalk. You flashed me and I just got off a wave (had not time to flash). I was in the sprinty blue.

Was a beautiful day. Anyone on here.

98 C Red 20 V Coupe, in Kildare outlet village today, what were the odds of having a space to park next to. Car was still there when i left :-( so other owner didnt see me. Looks like ex-UK car as reg etched glass. Had a "Coupe" badge on back left where Fiat badge is normally.

Also spotted the blue Coupe in Cork, blond Female driver, i beeped but no response.

Mate spotted a Coupe in Kinsale today too.

The weather has us all out!

saw a sprinty parked outside the classic car show in Terenure yesterday, 98-D, black leather, zender side skirts. looked well. Have to say the car show was pretty damn good. I didn't expect it to be so big!

A very tidy P reg Blitz Blue 16V in Ballinlough, County Rosscommon yesterday.
Got talking to its owner, he's from North Wales, over here on holidays and someone from the forum had already left a Fccuk card on the wiper.

There was a great aftermarket S/S exhaust on the car, a very nice 16V rumble from it D

Spotted a very clean coupe in the Cork region, Kinsale to Halfway road going to work early mon morning, grey coupe came against me, a more "experienced" (senior) driver, flash given and a big wave back in return. Put a nice smile on my face. I see there is a silver LE for sale in Cork on p.heads.... have not seen it about before, wonder is it one and the same.... #1125

Got a wave the week before from that from the 01C black Coupe on Bandon Rd.
