hi i have a 20vt bought from karlos, which has a cat back pipe and charge cooler fitted. I was just wondering is that alli need to fit a gtec 2 or similar chip or do i need to run on super unleaded etc. Also is ebay the best place to buy such chips

that's probably all you need assuming the car is healthy - maybe get a boost gauge?

personally i'd recommend mapping - it will be chipped/mapped to suit your car individually as opposed to the generic "one size fits all" chips. yes it costs more but the benefits are huge and very much more noticeable. also its better for your car in the long run.

FC Perfomance in the traders section is where you'll find it.... wink

I wouldnt buy off ebay, I contacted one guy selling them on ebay (not gtec1/2) and he was quite flustered and told me its a good job I didnt buy from him as he was having software probs!
Contact GrahamL off here for Gtec1/2's and advice on which would be best for you

Or of course contact Flea for a proper remap... (cheaper than you think)

GrahamL sells on ebay under Traumax. He is the person who wrote the GTEC chips, anyone else selling them on ebay is selling, potentially dodgy, copies.
