Aaargh! This really shouldn't be that difficult... 26 years old, 6 years NCB, no claims - ever, no points - ever, decent area and private driveway, 1999 20VT owened for 3 years with a boost controller and S/S backbox.

So far I have called everyone on the recommended insurer list only to be "put through to one of our partners" and then forwarded on again....and again...and finally back to the company I started the call with. No one will cover me. What am I missing?!?

I don't want to take my renewal through Greenlight as they've changed the policy provider to Highway insurance who have screwed the missus over in the past.

I hate this time of year!!

Bell.co.uk
Competition Car Insurance
Heritage
HIC
reis.co.uk - only as a second car and limited mileage.
Noel Dazeley

I'm not sure if all of them are on the list in this forum.

I've been with a-plan for a few years now and can whole heartedly recommend them. Always very competitive with the price and very nice people to deal with.

Hi Jase,

I have done, £420 with 5k mile limit, so then got to factor in another £300 to insure an every day car... it's winning so far though!

Sorted, finally!

Called Greenlight with the intention of biting the bullet and going with Highway, but they've got a new insurer on their panel called Markus Day, Mark Usday?? Anyway, £570 fc. That's less than half the nearest quote (not inc. classic cover)!

On the bright side quotes for mundane cars weren't that much cheaper so definitely worth the premium.
