Never had this situation before. Driving my wife's car and someone ran into the back of the car.
Got all his details and photos etc. but wife's insurance company is not interested and refuses to help.

This is all new to me;I thought you told your insurance company and they chased it up.

Anyway they won't so what's the best way to take it up with his insurers?

Any tips?

Eh!!

So you have been involved in a car accident and you are insured and your insurers won't help you! Surely something is missing here...

Anyway, I would get onto the Ombudsman, as that is just wrong!

I don't understand it either, but that's what they've said.

get the company who deal with unisured losses to chase it for you thats what I did. Took a year but eventually got an out of court settlement on my old coupe.

and what are they saying????
Your wife may need to speak to them and give you dpa authorisation but surely they would explain that to you!

Its got nothing to do with ULR uninsured loss recovery because the car is insured montgomery. ULR deals with uninsured losses like time off work, train fair home etc.

Why arnt they helping you? we need to know what they actually said on the phone, unless you tell us what they said we probably cant help you stinky and you will have a stinker kid.

I spoke to them originally but they would only deal with my wife.
They asked for all the details at length and then emailed to say that as the accident was not our fault they considered the matter closed.
My wife called and asked them about it + asked along the lines of what do we do now; and they said sorry we can't help you further and we cannot advise you.

Ring the third party and start the ball rolling claim wise
