Just wanted to know if there was any plans for another blackpool meet at the end of this month.

Last years was my first coop meet and it was a pretty good one.

So any plans ?

I did think about it, but didn't think it went very well last year?

One of the good things was the sound off with the Scoobies though

I looked into it a couple of months ago and was thinking about staying overnight, but nearly all the accomodation was a minimum of a 2 night stay, which would have put the costs up.

Also, with the poor turnouts for this years shows, I didn't think anyone would really be that interested.

There is also news that the WRC may be in Llandudno, North Wales that weekend:

so I may be going to that instead, although there's been no actual confirmation that it's happening yet.

If the WRC thing isn't happening, then I may come to Blackpool, but otherwise, I'll have to give it a miss.

If people want Blackpool to be an annual thing, then I'll start arranging it.

Keep an eye out on the internet about it for confirmation as to wheter it's happening, as no one seems to be 100% sure.

I'll post on here if I find out anything more about it.

Not too bad for me, it's only about an hour away, so if it doesn't happen, it's still a nice day out by the sea

I agree that the Blackpool meet was a good 'un.
Again it was my first FCCUK meet though, so maybe it just has sentimental value
I thought the turnout was fairly good to be honest!

Don't think we should drive through the lights again if we do it though, maybe just walk them, the overheating seemed to trouble a few folks (I was in the much more advanced 16VT at the time, and didn't suffer too much )

Perhaps organise it as a Christmasish meet?

If the WRC goes ahead I may have to go to that aswell - reet trek though!

That's why I thought a night stop over may have been better.

Park up, walk the lights and never get to the end, as there would be several alcohol stops along the way

I've been thinking of having one at Castle Howard or somewhere. Been trying to find a good route for a drive. Maybe a Christmas shopping meet in York or something daft. Don't see many coupes around here though so doubt there would be much interest :-(

Apparently, the WRC event at Llandudno was advertised on the WRC over the weekend, so looks like it's happening

Eks, might be worth putting a post up for the York trip, whether it's before or after Christmas. I'll attend if I'm not working.

Wouldn't mind a trip around that area anyway, so I can sus it out for the AGM next year.

Sorry guys - the back yard isn't suitable for tent pitching either (gravel) However, Niffs been up this way and would I'm sure have seen there are plenty of fields around me.

So if you don't mind sharing a tent with some horses, a bull and 60 odd sheep - I can set you up across t'river
