Got this off the internet as seemed interesting and I'd not come across it before. It appears to have been released for the purpose of promoting the 5 pot engine to tempt people for a test drive. Its actually really good and very good quality.

EXCEPT .... what's inside the front cover - the weirdest audio CD that goes with it. Never heard anything like it. Very cheesy and a all a bit Alan Partridge-esk. The narrator claims to be a "hardened motoring journalist". I keep thinking that I almost recognise the voice and its on the tip of my tongue but after week still can't place it and its driving me MAD! Anyone know who the the culprit was? grr

Nice. Never seen one of those before.

If you decide to PDF it I'd be interested in a copy.

The original audio disc is printed with a 20vt wheel. It's a '96 launch brochure for the 20v models featuring a demo CD with sound.

People (club members only) who bought the limited edition, signed canvas print run also got a booklet that mentions this disc.

For more info I'm sure DaveG can jump in, with probably the largest collection of Coupe-rabilia.

I've got an original - it was sent to 16v owners in 1996 to persuade us to change to 20vt. The idea was that you read the words and played the CD at the same time.

I found the CD's at last "archived" in the loft, I can do the 20vt booklet one, but the shaped Sound of Fiat CD only works in a music CD player so I need to rumage around for stuff to turn it into an MP3, unless anyone has any tricks to make shaped CD's work in a PC CD-ROM player (it thrashes around for ages then gives up)?

It'll put me out of my misery if you can. I've not found a way of sharing an MP3 yet on here like you can photos otherwise I'd have a go.

Thanks for uploading this Mario. After listening again (for as long as I could bear it as it doesn't improve over time I can assure you) it does now sound a bit like Chris Barrie (all very Mr Brittas)but still not 100% sure. Its utterly bizzare and can't have helped sales much!
