On my quest to fit more supportive seats to the coupe, I've ruled out Hyundai Coupe Recaro seats due to the moron sellers on ebay. Unfortunately I found Audi TT seats to be not much better than the standard Coupe seats and I'm not willing to pay the huge prices for Plus/LE seats.

All of the above are tried and tested seats in a Coupe so now I'm drawing blanks. I've seen set of Honda Accord Type R seats only an hour away from me. I know for a fact that Civic type R seats support me very well indeed so these Accord seats appeal to me.

I presume these wouldn't have been fitted to a Coupe before? If not, how hard will it be to make up a set of adaptor plates to fit them to the Coupe floorplan?

Why don't you look into the Cobra Daytona seats? I've got some in mine and they are great!

I've seen yours in the flesh when Sam owned the car. Trouble is, I'm on a tight budget and your seats arent cheap.

You can get 2nd hand material ones for a good price. Leather would be quite expensive though. Depends what you want.

I have looked but they still command a strong price and that's without re-trimming them.

I'm not keen on the look of them except in leather whereas the type r seats in black and dark green would be acceptable to use without a re-trim for a while.

I'm fairly certain someone in another country has done this mod already, do a search. It's definitely been posted before.

Mine was the premier recaro's, and they were black and red.

thats a thought though i had a civic type r 04 and they had good seats they would go well in a coop if you could make them fit..its always possible you just need a mate thats a good engineer or some sort of fabricater

Accord Type R are nice seats but surely they are 4dr so wont recline?

They've been made to fit and is not a direct replacement. Not too sure what other info you need. Just shout and I will have a look for you.

what about honda s2000 seats?

I have put in Recaro Speed which is the updated version of the SR found in the integra.

They are fitted using Demon tweeks subframes Gary

They are a direct replacement but you have to weld in an extra tab because only 3 out of 4 holes line up.

It looks like I'll be leaving the seats for the time being now. The sellers I've contacted seem to be very lazy. Maybe it's an ebay thing?

Does anyone know a rough estimate to retrim a set of Recaro bucket seats? For reference, lets say a set of LE seats.

here are some pics the are honda civic type R seats, if you are 6ft or taller you may have a few issues as the way I mounted them useing the honda rails they sit a bit higher (not much maybe 15mm) - I have since lowered them so it easier to get in with a race helmet but it was a bit of mucking around - and obviusly welding of custom brackets to the rails is required and depending on the laws in your country maybe illegal

Those aren't the normal civic type r seats though. They look like the anniversary seats??

I'm in New Zealand and we generally get JDM spec so maybe they are differernt to the U.K. spec?

These are just the common JDM spec type R seats here as fitted to civic type R and Integra type R.

I *knew* I'd remembered correctly! I even had a funny feeling it was Saint that had done it but hesitated to say so, wish I'd had the courage of my convictions now!

I was impressed with them when I saw them the first time around, hence why I remembered the post.
