Has anyone tried to fit a steering damper on the 20VT to combat torque steer?

I honestly don't think its that much of a problem on 20vt, assuming all your suspension/LSD etc are up to scratch....

Thanks for input, not so much a current problem other that looking at whether it would have any benefits.

I see - no, it wouldn't have any benefits worth noting
If you get the car set up properly, you'll eradicate 90+% of torque steer
Tracking, wishbones, tyres (inc pressures), steering rack and track rod ends, suspension, camber, adequate bracing and even wheel design all have a marked effect. Over the years, I've addressed all of the above and I now have a car that is completely "planted" at any speed you care to mention

Nigel, I am looking into this as a stop gap purely from a cost benefit point of view, until I have managed to address all the aspects mentioned in your list.
Cost estimate of building your current setup??

Cost estimate of building your current setup?? strut brace - £100 subframe brace - £120 Polybushes - £100 (+ fitting) tracking - £30 That's about all you'll need to add to a healthy car in order to reduce torque steer However, this assumes that your basic components are all in good order - you need to check steering rack, track rod ends and rear radius arm bearings
