My old external waste-gate (Turbonetics delta gate II) is dieing and i want to buy new one, my dilemma is between Tial 38mm or 44mm what's the difference between 38mm and 44mm?

Sorry to butt in,but i was just going to start a thread about wastegates as i dont't know anything about them!!

I was wondering could you have one on a standard 20vt and if so how much and where to buy from????

Bananana man I think I've seen a thread on external wastegates for the 20vt, try the search its around here somewhere.

The difference between the 2 is how much boost you want to run. Higher boost = smaller wastegate, lower boost = bigger wastegate

Std 20vt dont have ->external<- wastegates! usually on the bigboy turbo's

How much boost are you running and what turbo?

1.4Bar with GT28/76 Turbo

Tial 38 should work fine - they go up a lot in price when you go bigger as well.

i think i'll go for the Tial 44 Since i'm not planning to run high boosts anyway on this or in future bigger turbos.
