As the title say's then. Leave Spa on the Monday morning the 6th of June 2011 in convoy to the ring. I have no experience at the ring,so if someone that does, has some input that would be great. I have opened this thread as not to clog up the Spa thread.

I'm definitely up for this. Me and my mate Jonny did exactly this last year - managing 5 laps on the Monday evening session.
We stayed at "Camping am Nurburgring", but found it quite expensive as they charged per day, not per evening.

When I get more time (not at work) i'll give details of exactly what we did!

I met Per from the forum there and he stayed in a local hotel, so hopefully he can give some input too!

It is without doubt worth the trip - especially so if you've never been to the Nurburgring before! My first lap was the scariest/exciting 9 minutes of my life!!

Right i'm off to make a cup of tea in my Nurburgring mug.....

Looks like it could be a non starter according to this years calendar on Marco's link. More investigation needed.I will try to find a 2011 calendar.

I have sent an email asking if we can use the track on the evening of the 6th june and daytime on the 7th june 2011.

I'll bring a spare engine with me if you like Marco, we can always change it in the car park

Ok folks.I have received an email from the ring saying that no dates have been confirmed yet for next year. They have asked me to check back with them in the early new year.
And also said to keep checking thier website for new details. The website is here.

There is an email facility on the site.
It may be an idea for people to email them asking about the same dates,therefor putting an idea in thier heads to keep those dates open for public. If anyone has any more imput into this please post up.

Im there.Need to plan the whole trip mind...joe cc you taking the truck aswell or just the coupe?

If I get everything organised in time I'll be taking the truck for the track Coupe and MrsCC will either be in her VIS or my Vincy, hopefully all the dates will fall right so we can enjoy the Ring after Spa

Yep i will have the van and trailor also,my coupe can be driven on the road if the trailor is needed for a breakdown etc. I reckon we will have all the angles covered chaps.

i may have to give this a miss,with my new job i get less holidays.
How far from spa is it?We would be leaving for the ring on the monday so back in england by wed?or tuesday?If tuesday its a maybe...wed likely not as thats a week away from work.

It must be an hour and a half or so from Spa, from memory about an hour from Aachen going south east.

EditTomTom suggests 1hr 38m going cross country south then east.

Any update on this.
Need to book eurotunnel etc so now would be a good time to plan routes etc.

Their last email was on 23rd december saying that they have not made up the 2011 calender yet apart from the f1.
I still await the date's.

They usually release dates around march/april i think

I've booked out on the Eurotunnel on Friday 3rd (7.50am) and In on Tuesday 7th (8.20 euro time). That will leave me all day Monday for the ring. If its not open I'll find something else to do.
