And that was on one of the 3 or 4 corners that have a run off. The other 140 odd corners just have a barrier 3 foot from the track.

I'm doing the Ring, and not bothering with Spa this year, i think

I drove 4 laps at the Nurburgring, a circuit is crazy and very dangerous.

I'm going to be able to speak, and I live in 1:30 of this circuit.

I personally don't understand why it's called Grüne Hölle, it's just plain fun and nice. There's one or two hidden bends but if you have anything in your head you'll manage them the first lap, and then you know.
I love it and cannot understand why you would go to Spa instead. This is the real thing!

Very committed stuff Per, particularly that '09 lap, in what in so many places has 3-4 feet of run off before the barriers!!

Looks expensive!!!

Think it's xxEuro/metre you damage the armco. One recovery truck is fee of €400 plus any other distance off the track, helicopter is a shed load and he would have been charged a significant amount for track closure. Probably looking at £10k plus repairing his car.

ive only done it once..
but one thing i will say is that its massivley scary.

any one with doing it on a budget will be in trouble..

it really is a car killer.

after 3 laps a well maintained coupe will be firmly punished and in need of a good service and a lot of love and £££ spent on it.

Anyone knows about the insurance there these days? It used to be a 'toll road'. What is it now?
