I've been wondering what can be done with the rear lights too.

I did think maybe doing something like workshy's method using a couple of reverse light halfs and glueing them together for a set of complete clear lower rear lights if you catch my drift may give it a go if I get together a few cheap sets of rear lights and use a ultra bright red led for the fog in its usual place then.

Dont suppose anyone could photoshop or have any pics of what all clear lower rears would look like thanks with the standard reds up top ?

finally got round to finishing my solution the other day.
Using the (IMHO) best bits of other peoples ideas and a couple of my own I have the following...

all red lenses (no pic)
twin fog lights
twin reverse lights..

driving lights
fog lights
indicators
reverse lights on
reverse lights off
reverse lights close up

the reverse lights are actually bright enough to let you see where you are going, which I didn't really expect.
And although it doesn't look like it in the pic the indicators are a bright orange colour.
