The bee's doors can't see in the dark frown why?

The 16vt had them - were they optional?

I don't feel properly dressed without them.

I don't think they're on my Coupe either.

If they are, I've never noticed laugh

They are on the 16v and not the 20v.

Yes, they are a great feature.

They add a touch of class. I also just like the name -it's like something out of Beatrix Potter.

When I lived in Nicaragua the term "puddle-jumpers" [brinca-charcos] was used for trouser-legs shortened after heavy rainstorms smile

Nope, just the 16v and 16vt including of course the 1995-1996 16v Plus and 16v Turbo Plus models.

(basically leather + sunroof + air con added to the standard car)

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
I even unplugged my own.

My Chamonix Verde 16VT had them, I don't think I've had a single scenario where they would have came in useful. FIAT must have thought the same and removed them from later models, or (and probably more likely) the bean counters wanted to save 30p more per car crazy

Coopless!

Well those scenarios funnily enough are parking when it's dark with no street-lighting and you're just about to fall out of the car straight into a lagoon, or worse onto black ice, and the reflection is what gives the you the heads-up rather than the illumination.

But anyway, I lahk puddle-lights. They're so caring marco

Actually, if i'm honest they can be a pain.

When i got my 16v, they were not working so i thought i would replace the bulbs...

Nope. Taking them to bits was like trying to disect a hobnob with a sledge hammer, bits everywhere.

Being the industrious chap that i am however, i retro fitted a pair of number plate bulbs + fittings in, and bobs my uncle.

I have replaced one of mine as the terminals were rusted off as was the lamp holder. Thanks to a Forum member, one arrived on my doorstep.

They do have a rubber boot over the fittings to protect it from the water that does enter the door but this protection does not always work.
