im going to change my speakers as they are done and dont handle alot of volume. now, in previous cars i just used 3 way speakers but after a quick browse it seems the coupe doesnt work this way.
can anyone point me in the direction of cheap but decent components, able to handle 80w maybe 100w? or can i just disconnect the tweeters and put three ways in the door? cheers

you could, but you'd end up with a crappy stereopicture. The tweeters are in the IP for a reason: the high frequency's are reflected in the windscreen and aimed straight at you.

cheers, what type of speaker should i be buying for the front, is it a one way or what? forgive my sub par knowledge, long time since i did audio upgrades lol

I replaced my stock Coupe speakers with Infinity Kappa components

I had to get creative with the tweeters, as they were a bit bigger than stock, but after some creative dremelling and Aralditing, they went under the standard grilles
