i was about to say.......

anyway........ as the coupe is the "king" model fiat has built recently its no wonder that there stored parts department choose to still sell the parts as there original prices or close too them, until something makes fiat go belly up they wont have the need to slash prices or make room, i would suspect the parts would cost less in defferent countries too, also has anyone thought of contacting fiat uk or fiat dealerships to discuss having a club forum discount setup? when i was a member of the PNG group we contacted vauxhall uk and got a members 15% off parts to do with a nova

We are unfortunately over a barrel with fiat. They dont care about a car that went out of production 10 years ago, it costs them money to order/store parts and in the modern supply on demand culture they are never going to produce enough on the scale of say the Fiat 500 or Punto.

The only place for cheap parts is through cannabilised coupes or through companies like alternative autos. They are cheaper than Fiat.

This is on top of already discounted prices.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
I even unplugged my own.

Try Fiat prices then.

Also realise that a good nunber of people spend their own time organising things so that discounts and events are available to coupe enthusiasts.

Fiat know with the fall in number of coupes going down everyday and with the scrapage scheme they can charge more for parts as we need them alot.

and a fuel cap and fiat will add there transport, handling, comission, profit so this price will go up.

AA dop a good price for a brand new one

Got a quote for a replacement interior light from local Fiat garage of £165 yesterday!!! Only asked as I was driving past it. Got home, quick note to Joe, and all sorted with a saving of £150! Makes you wonder if they trying to go bust - if they'd quoted a half-sensible price I'd probably have taken the lazy option...

I often wonder what genuine parts cost if you buy them in Italy? I'm off there this summer so might give it a go.

I was always led to believe by my former Italian father-in-law that genuine Fiat parts are MUCH cheaper in Italy, so would be interesting to confirm that one way or another skinflint smile

I'll have to get a list together and translate it into Italian, or get the ePer photos ready.

Cotswold BMW are one of our chosen parts people on BMW5 wink

http://forum.bmw5.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=82

I'll never go to FIAT for any Coupe parts, unless for some strange reason one of our specialists cannot source it smile

Awful customer support. But good prices on service parts: www.eurocarparts.com.

A discount code for 15% is available right now as well, write "snow"...

Edit: Realized that the ECP prices have been hiked substancially since the summer... Still, 15% makes the prices about equal to what they were before the price hikes. I guess the poor exchange rate is starting to show now...

Yeah I agree with the comments above as I recently asked for a quote on sidelight..Fiat said £185 + vat + shipping..

'Taking the mick' i believe is the correct verbiage

To be fair ECP are good at supplying the right part, they're good brands, and they're usually cheaper than local motorfactors but their delivery company Home Delivery Network are a bit crap - took 2 weeks to have a fuel tank delivered for a Seicento during the December snow, and when it did arrive it was dented in 8 places. Still, ECP provided another within 24 hours.

I've used them about 20 times in the last 12 months for lots of cars and everything I needed for them, plus the coupe has fitted fine.

Best deal they have on with the 20% at the mo is Mobil 1 15w50 - £38 delivered free
