I was thinking they were 'Police Aware' stickers that you sometimes get on abandoned vehicles. But it not exactly 'abandoned'  Perhaps he was taking it out for a test drive?

Coupe asside, what a crap artical. 2 hours inforced limit at night, thats going to be easy to police! What a stuid idear. Next, 62% of all crashes involve a femail, Recomendation to ban all woman drivers to make the road a safer place

Graduated driver licensing has already been thrown in the "too hard pile" by the UK government, so there's no chance in hell that they'll introduce some sort of 2 hour continuous night time driving limit. Oh and I like their sample size of 14 youngsters and the fact they had to drive 80mph which is over the limit in the first place. Quality scientific research!

On a serious note though, they have a point. When I used to visit the mrs at uni in southampton (183 miles away) every other weekend I used to feel like I have drank a 10 pack of ale by the time I got down there!

When I drive through europe with the family it is much better to do it through the night with them asleep without stopping unless for fuel than during the day with the kids doing your head in  My concentration is not the same after hearing "are we nearly there yet?" for the 1,000th time. Then there is the arguing and fighting for the rest of the time. Maybe they should ban us from carrying kids

it does have some effect though i regularly pick up vans from kent or south coast and i have driven for 12 hours or more many,many times and drive through the night a few times a month getting back in the morning after doing a round of viewings and the motorway at night can be wierdly hypnotic and i have to keep a window open my ac on cold and the stereo on loud to not get drowsy..suprising how mentally tired you feel.. though i am used to it to some degree now when i first started doing it,it wore me out and i was pretty fit then as i was racing every weekend but its a mental rather than physical thing

i'll just add i never drive tired.. if i was tired i would stop and have done on a few occasions..thats not what i mean at all..i don't want to leave my family without a provider for the sake of saving an couple of hours.. i was relating to (and now trying to describe) a phenomenon that occurs when driving at night late with no other traffic to keep you on your toes..it's best described as hypnotic..it takes a few hours before it starts to happen but the white lines ,the monotony, it starts to have an effect and its that i meant..i think maybe you have to do a lot of night driving of long durations to distinguish between the two and realise it's something else and not tiredness.. probably best i leave it there! i know what i mean

i drive at some unsociable hours mainly for work as i leave a ten to four every morning. it does have an effect if you dont have enough sleep.
I always make sure i have a nice big flask of coffee with me and if i do feel that tired i pull over and have a twenty min / half hour power nap, which i have had to do on countless occasions.

Weirdly i get the same feeling when the misses starts going on about 'so and so from work who's husband has been doing whatever'!

i,m glad it's not just me! i was starting to think "what if no one knows what the f£$% i am talking about" then i realised its not like i have a good character to besmirch so just another random ktm blathering no suprises here then my wife has that same ability to send me into a wierd trance like state from which every so often i mutter "yes love" or "really" in the spaces in between, having no idea what i am saying so i must be in a trance musn't i?
