Found a great way of getting cheap car insurance for young drivers im 23 with 2 years no claims for my 16vt for 613 for the year

I put me on as the named driver for no claims purposes, and put my dad on as a additional driver and it worked out 400 cheaper than if my dad was the named driver and i was a additional very strange but it works . go to u switch and try for yourselves . or any other for that matter let me know.

Good way of doing it on the face of it

Only Downside to that if you have a claim that's down to you, then would your dad potentially lose his no claims on his own policy ?
if that makes sense

The no claims bonus is policy specific, so his dad wouldn't lose his ncb and when renewing his policy he'd only have to declare accidents involving himself or other named drivers on his own policy.

Dear monos, a secret truth.

My wife saves me circa £150 per year by having her as a named driver on my policy. Oddly each of my parents increase it, despite 10's of years of ncb and 0 points.
