Joking aside, good work, its nice to be able to take your time with these things and have the car off the road for more than a weekend to get it all done!

new expansion tanks are only £29.95 from AA
well worth it considering the hassle I had making my £10 look "as new"

Welldone Mario, good to see you're keeping busy.I put the Konis and Eibachs on her and found them much better in corners than the Billi/Eibach combo I have on my plus. I dont think the ride is any better than the Konis either.Just a thought.

To be honest I do like the Konis but I got a good deal on the Eibacs and Billies, it made sense to change everything in one go rather than bit by bit. There is still a fair bit of life left in the old shocks and springs to be honest with you.

Will let you know how i find them once they are on smile

ooo question... while you owned her were any of the windows smashed in? When i took all of the interior out I found quite a bit of glass under the seats?

Also...

How long ago did you fit the Konis and Springs... Did you get new top mounts? Im giving that old setup to Marco as a thanks for all the work he has helped me with. So just wanted to guage how old it is, and if the top mounts need to be changed. Im guessing 3/4 years max?

No windows smashed when I had it but I think Dave had a door replaced so maybe then?
The I think i did have new top mounts at about 58K when I put the FKs on but I am getting old and the grey matter is suffering.

Nice work going on the Mario.
When you get the Rad out, remove the bottom rad support bar and give it a good de rust and hammerite.
Pay attention to anything you can see and give it some paint.Including those Galvanised oil pipes.
I took the turbo heat sheild off also when doing the rad and gave that some paint.
I am sure you know, but leave the fans fixed to the old rad when removeing it and lift the left side out first. Its all in the rad removal how to do anyway mate.

Cheers for the heads up!
Im planning on doing the rad support, mine is currently caked in about a cm of spray grease to stop it getting any worse.
Heatshield is on the cards... how hard is the lambda sensor to remove?

Will have a good look through the rad removal guide thumb
