Valeo say

Fiat Coupe 20VT clutch pressure plate clamping pressure 6200

Alfa GTA clutch pressure plate clamping pressure 6500

So the Alfa GTA clutch has a greater clamping pressure than a Coupe 20vt.

It doesnt mean it can handle 'much' more than it was designed for though

Had a look at my GTA clutch last night and couldn't see any info regarding clamping pressure.

By the way, do all clutch plates look like this? Like there's bits of copper in the material? I'm certain my 20VT didn't but then it was 120K miles old...

PS That's a frayed bag handle, not a clump of pubic hair laugh

I had exactly the same mapping and boost with my old (195000km's) standard clutch. Never slipped! smile

Surely for the little outlay difference between a gta and the price you can get a paddle for nowadays it is a no brainer if you are going to 300 or beyond. Constant worry about it slipping and then having to spend again to buy the paddle or just go straight for the paddle and no worry....Simple's. My helix organic was 475 quid but it does not slip but at least after the rebuild I could go bigger turbo again to go over 400 and not worry about the clutch slipping, why take the risk?
