Not to everyones taste but I think it's great; seriously considering getting one (maybe not in purple though:

I've spoken to the guy that makes them and he can cut the hole to any size and thread.
I guess you can have anything you want inside the knob.
For us I think we'd need to somehow fix it on top of the lift-up mechanism. Anyone got a picture of a gear lever without a knob?

I found a nice one from british Richbrook to fit with my new 6-speed box:

Haven't got around fitting it yet but it does seem to fit with the lift-up mechanism, diameter-wise. smile

Me thinks this will look rather grand in front of the gloss black centreconsole!

Might get back with the results.

Yeah that one is ok but I never liked the flat top.. And the fact that it's a 5-speeder.

the aftermarket knob I have has a small allen head bolt that screws through the front of the knob onto the splined part, should be easier than trying to thread the whole thing.
