I now have a lovely set of Bilstein B6's and Eibach Springs

The shocks are missing the boots

1. Does anyone know where i can get these from

2. Do i even need them? Ive read online that the boots trap moisture and dirt in, and its better to run without them. . .

They keep out much more moisture and dirt than they will ever trap Mario, I would imagine they will increase the life of the damper by protecting the seals.

Have a look at mountain bike suppliers instead of paying for expensive car parts, Lizard Skins do a damper cover for bikes but it will fit a coupe rear damper.

Actually, just take them off your dampers, you should have some on there already?

Are they really needed?
Most shocks I've fitted to cars including my own have never had them!

Shocking! laugh

Yes I es liming up all the parts needed to switch from FK's to billies & eibachs and was dismayed to find no boots included for the fronts, but they are there for the rears, why is that?

Were your billies new? If so then can we conclude that they do not actually come with Boots?

I may try and retrofit some on there... just seems silly not to have them.

Ive emailed Bilstein on their website - not that im expecting a reply - but we shall see smile

Im going with the consensus that they are not needed in this case - especially if Daves were new and didnt come with them

seeing as bilstineam are a sports damper i would think they have more durable seals!

thinking about it more, it would not hurt to have the boots on them, its like double bagging up on a one night stand!:D

you cant go wrong!!

but on the flip side, there not really needed.
