Hope your not to saw mate.

Gutted for you Rich frown

I know exactly how you feel, as this happened to me four and a half years ago.

Mine was borderline to being written off, but I pleaded with the assessor not make it a write off and thankfully, he didn't.

Maybe they'll do the same for you or let you buy it back?

frown Not a nice thing to happen to anyone, but especially someone who has spent all that time and effort getting it sorted.

I hate to have to say this but IF you are suffering any personal injury then make sure you claim, ironically you will probably get much more for these than for the Coupe. (I am not saying lie, but if you are suffering pain or shock then make sure you claim).

Gutted for you as the work/time/effort you put into that car but as others said if you walk away then thats the important thing.

Rich, shocked to here this mate shocked make him pay rage
I'm sure you'll be OK in the long run. I know it doesn't seem it now but you'll probably get your money back in spares and be able to get another LE. As you say though, it's all the hard work you put into sorting out this one. Hope you are OK confused

ffs sorry to hear about this. don't give up on the car yet as it's surely his responsibility. you have the right to have your car put to the condition it was before the crash i believe (others to confirm) or, failing that, get evidence of the true value of the LE in top condition to prepare the haggling with insurance. should be an open and shut case so hopefully settled quickly one way or the other.

hope it works out for you, and you feel better over the coming days.

any hints of neck/back/torso pain since the crash? mention it if so, whiplash can take a while to properly manifest itself into positive symptoms

I agree with some of the comments above - the insurance company is duty bound to place you in an equivalent pre-accident condition - they WILL initially offer you the book price, which will be an insult

You then need to refer them to the vehicle's condition and challenge them to find an equivalent replacement vehicle

Terrible frown sorry to hear this.

If/when they write it off, can you not buy it back, then buy a very good BIW coupe with a knackered engine etc & transplant everything off your Coupe into it?

Shockin' shocked ! Feel for you mate. Hope you are OK.

Some wombat turned right across in front of my Scottie before XMas - I nearly missed him but got frontend-swiped and needed the bonnet and bumper repaired. The cloud9 didn't stop either, but luckily the damage wasn't too bad and the repair cost less than my excess!

Take advice and get whatever you can.....
