Fitted 22mm Whiteline rear ARB today. The single bolt at each end of the ARB lined up OK, but to get the ARB centrally in between the 2 clamp bolts on each side required a hydraulic jack across the ARB before the clamps and bolts could be fitted. Is this usual or have a got a pooly made ARB

You really need to make sure all the bolts are in before tightening any of them too.

Yes, its all back together now. I had to be very careful not to cross thread the bolts. It seemed this was very easy to do

jesus are they, whiteline bars are a bad fit, some are alot worse then others too from my experience!

As nobby said, get it all ined up first then do the bolts on.

i always clean up the bolts or replace them if required for high grade bolts.

I had no problem at all.
I just dropped it off at MotorMech and when I picked it up it was on.
Happy days !

I did mine last Thursday, it fitted well, I did have to jack the suspension up to ensure it was in an untensioned position before I could put the bolts in.

I thought it was a good piece of kit

I think the 24mm needs bigger/different fixing brackets.

I had a 24mm here (Which was supplied by mistake) despite the 2mm difference it needs different, fabricated, brackets and the rear brake balance spring mount would need to bemanufactured.

It looked like a challenge, the 22mm was a doddle.

I prefer to think of it as skillfull use of delegation.
Although it wasn't all plain sailing. I had to wake up, get dressed and drive to Birmingham on the right day.

I'd tell you about the day I did my cam belt (which involved some quite heavy traffic on the M6) but I don't want to show off !
