I pm'd DavidL back in early January regarding a GB but the message remains unread.

I'm keen to get one and was wondering if there were any other silicon hose suppliers and in particular any that would do a GB?

Any ideas anyone?

I might be up for it... good preventative buy :-)

I thought there was a hard pipe solution for this from Pro-Alloy waiting for people to get the order up to 10 people to make the production run go ahead????

There was but so little interest was shown that I think it is now defunct.

Yeah i was interested in the silicon hose i wasnt attracted by the pro alloy one.
Surely someone must be able to do the silicon ones again?

He may make the hose up in a batch of 50 or so.

As Roger said, I spoke to Peter at Viper and he says he is going to suggest that they market a CHOD kit.

Having got their 10 hose kit the quality far surpasses the std CHOD, especially as someone posted that the replacement hose they got from Fiat was date stamped 1998! Ouch.

I'll do that and we can see what we can muster.

OK ive spoken to Dan and he's happy to look into this project.

First thing though, can someone confirm that the CHOD is or is not included in the 10 hose set?

does anyone have some pictures of a failed CHOD, so i can see exactly where the failure in the hose is?

any descriptions also welcomed

It tends to fail just after the bend near the thermostat or at the thermostat.

I just changed mine for a DavidL one and as bockers has said the signs of imminent failure were at the thermostat end ie it was bulging just before the hose clip.

Mine went at the thermostat end...better caught early otherwise large bill like me.

Unsure if it helps but i have also had turbo water hose fail aswell. Let go in a more dramatic fashion then the chod. I have seen a few leaky ones of these also.

I will take some photos of my failed CHOD and post them tomorrow.

It failed at bend on thermostat end.

YES the CHOD is included in Viper's 10 piece kit.
