Hi guys

Im thinking of removing my gear knob and replacing with a nice new shiny, blingy one laugh.

Ive searched the forum and found that richbrook are the ones that fit because of the lift reverse mechanism. Once removed, im thinking of taking an 1 1/2 inches off of the shaft....will this be a problem with the lift mechanism and the fitting??

Also, as i have a carbon fibre centre console i would like a carbon fibre gear knob. Does anyone know of any that will fit?

Thanks guys

Terry thumb

You will have to alter the lift mechanism if you shorten the gear stick. There are also two types of lift mechanism. Plastic sleeve vesrion that will require careful cutting and glueing and a cable version that is arguably easier to alter.

As for knobs. well you will need to find a carbon one that accepts a lift mechanism, should not be too difficult.
