As most of you know, I use my Coupe every day for work, skip runs, shopping, etc laugh so maybe don't always appreciate it as I should.

The weather here was glorious yesterday, but I was working, so just drove the car to and from work as usual, but had that 'feel good' feeling.

Today however, I have a day and night off from my jobs.

The weather is again gorgeous and I needed to pop to the sorting office and also get some petrol too.

Decided to go for a drive around first before doing the above and it just felt great laugh

Went and got my parcel, then did a couple of laps around town, tunes on, windows down etc laugh
I know it's chavvy, but I haven't done that for a while and had a big grin on my face laugh

Days like today makes me feel glad I have the Coupe and of course, you lot too cool

Sounds like fun!

My Coupe made it as far as the end of the lane, before a nasty clunking coming from the front suspension made me go back and jump in the missus' truck.

Windows down, music on... Chugging great wallowing diesel lump. Just not the same wink

I drove down to Chichester and back today, chasing some uprated springs for the quanturbo. Very nice, and I think the satnav got lost because it took me down some very pleasant back-roads - though the county council seems to like 50 and 40 limits where there's no real need for them.

He has indeed cool

If I had a garage like that, I'd have to have two identical Coupes.
One to keep in the garage for show and one to use every day laugh

My Coupe wasn't clean that day and was covered in bird crap and dust frown

However, I spent a few hours today, rectifying that smile

Took it to Tesco for a quick jet wash and to remove most of the crap.

Then used a clay bar on it, polished it and then waxed it smile

Feels like glass again and looks lovely and shiney again too cool

I even cleaned up the tailpipe, something I always forget to do laugh

click to enlarge click to enlarge click to enlarge click to enlarge

I didn't take any photos of the front of the car, as my neighbours came back and parked up on the road and I would have felt a right idiot taking photos of the car while they were there, so came in to hide laugh

I don't seem to do much of this, mostly domestic/ commute not much pleasure!
When I had the 944 I did this once after washing it, pointed the nose at the road and drove wherever. Then into the journey I felt half guilty of driving without purpose or destination, then returned home. Stupid really.
Now, I am happy to drive the Mrs on the inane shopping trips, the further the better. Now to garden centres in the countryside (ish)bit scarey all that open space and animals.
Maybe easter I'll be heading North to visit family, 270mile trip there. While there, thinking of taking a few days even further North to Moray Firth for a couple of days to see the Dolphins, ( nice drive and open roads) as we did quite a few years back and was great. Anyone interested it is in Cromaty.
Anyway, before going off your thread too much I need to do more driving for the pleasure and as I said before I do like the look of your car. Didn't notice the black fuel cap before but it all ties in! Tempted to get a rear add on bumper bit looking at your pics.
And yeah, taking pics, know the feeling. They wouldn't understand.

Cheers all and lol @ Mike and the Gliptone laugh Firstly, I have no Gliptone left and secondly, after doing all the outside of the car, I couldn't be bothered cleaning the inside laugh Might do that tomorrow smile

Priority was the outside, as it hadn't been done for a while and today was perfect - dry, warmish, overcast cool

dlongstaff, I know what you mean.

Mine is domestic/commute and although I get great pleasure driving it on these mundane journeys, I don't often take it out for a nice proper drive.

My main purpose that day was getting a parcel from the sorting office, but other than that, I had none, but was a good enough reason to move the car off my drive for reasons other than work.

I've had my Coupe for five years nearly and I still don't do enough pleasure driving.
I suppose if I started losing my love for the car, then I would, just to get back something, but as I love driving it even to the local shops, then I don't really feel the need too often smile

The rear add on bit is the Zender one and as for my neighbours, well, they think I'm weird anyway and I hate them all, so don't even know why I was that bothered laugh
