is it possible to get a better induction sound by modifing the standard airbox at all?
i dont really want to go down the k&n route although it does have a k&n panel filter at the moment.

yeah i've seen the guide but it seems more performance related ,its that what got me thinking. it says about drilling holes in the side of the airbox but i dont know how big,many,whereabouts?

Try 5cm diameter at the side, top-back of the box. If you want more, proceed with adding one at the side, back-bottom. Add more if you want further to the front.

Ive got lots of small holes on the underside of the airbox... and i mean lots, probably around 5mm in diameter then on the side of the airbox I have three larger holes. It sounds GREAT!

You could add a cone filter from Apexi or AEM.

On my old one I hollowed out the recesses on the side of the airbox rather than drill it; it looked as though it was made that way when I'd done.
