When you open the drivers door (with the engine running or not, if it makes a difference?), with the lights still on, does the car beep at you?

mine's never done this, just wondered if it is meant to (like other cars) or not ??!

Last edited by duncan78; 29/03/2011 16:53. Reason: Whilst the engine is running ?

You mean you've never noticed that when you switch the car off, the lights turn off as well?

no, assuming you're not winding me up smile

I'm quite OCD about doing stuff in the right order, so I always turn my lights off (and stereo) before turning the engine off.

My girlfriend does the opposite, turning the engine off and then turning the lights and stereo off. For some reason it really annoys me when she does that.

Haha, nope i'm not winding you up. The coop is fantastic. The moment you switch the ignition back to the start position, it switches off the head and sidelights, dash etc.

Why this isnt a 'feature' of more cars i have no idea.

Cars that keep their headlights on when you take out the keys are annoying. Why!

I could have sworn the car did it when I first had it!

I'd like to get my climate control fixed so it works 100%. The system even has a diagnostic port just like the airbag ECU. But what the hell are you supposed to do when even Fiat haven't got the diagnostic kit to talk to it??!

Think ill get that civic type R now, anyone want my plus for 5k ? smile

Lol This is sooooo true of mine as well!!!

Its better when you get ACR failure, car security failure, random bulb failures and engine fault failure!!! Then you switch the key back and then back to on and it comes on fine!!

I'd love it Duncan, but it would mean building another shrine with a Black floor, I don't think I could live with the wife if I said to her "I'm getting another Coop dear" wink

I didn't mention it Ross but it does come with a £300 fitted Covercraft Car Cover love

That way you can temporary store it outside whilst you convince the wife smile

The garage is decorated to the style of the LE, you couldn't put the Plus in there nono , it would need a separate garage

a Black/Silver combination would look good!

Shall I wheel out "THAT" photo for the other Ross (h2per) to see? or would it piss Dan off too much confused laugh

P.S. I think Battleship Grey floor & Black walls would be a nice combo. It wouldn't show the dirt too much on the floor wink Plus, Ha Ha (get it?) rolleyes the black walls & pictures would look awsome against mooney silver smile

I always switch the lights off first, but that's because I have HID's and don't want them trying to power up along with everything else, the next time I start the car laugh
As you've never noticed that switching the car off kills the lights, then you won't realise that switching the car back on again will fire up the lights, without the need for you switching them off and on, which isn't good for HIDs.

I sometimes forget & on starting the car the power taken to start it knocks out one of the lights. Its not till you come up behind something that you realise, then I've got to switch off for 5 secs then back on. Oh well, at least it looks like all the other cars out there driving with just one headlight laugh
