good luck mate ..we have ended up finnishing at the same time..it will be interesting for us to compare graphs as we should be similar in power and torque
what did displatec (it is one isn't it?) rate the clutch to? lbsft if poss
and what are you doing for mapping/ecu?
the manifold should be interesting also as i bought mine after looking at the italian one you went for..i think that may be your limiting factor (but that remains to be seen) with that size turbo.. its bigger than mine but i think they put out similar power
which wastegate have you gone for and what boost will you cap it at?
personally 1.6 i think is all i don't want to run a lot

hi matey,
Thank you, good luck to you too ;-)!
yes it is true, the same project in two different countries, and the same time hehehe...
about clutch:
is not displatec, because displatec is very expensive for Portugal!I bougth this clutch in Italy, and isprepared for 750nm torque!
mapping ecu!
I really wanted was the flea to the Mapping my car,but still do not know the price for him to come to Portugal because I trust him for my car!I liked to buy a standalone ecu by motec M84 or dta fast m84!but I'm tired of spending money you understand?
about manifold:
you're right,I am a bit limited, but this year I'll ride with these, and for next year,I"ll buy tig art ;-)is certainly much better, but when I bought these, I did not know the tig art :-(!
yes the turbo is very big ;-)
my turbo is this!
http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/GT35/GT3582R_714568_2.htm...
should be more or less equal to your turbo...
and I have tial 38mm external westegate...for now I think that is good...
about pressure:
I did not know,I will leave to the discretion of those mapping my car,but a friend told me that the 1.6 is 600hp!but I do not know, I think this is little pressure for this power, you understand?

cheers my friend...

Carlos

You can order from Helix dual plate clutch rated at 730 lbft. They have in stock for Lancia Delta, but it can be fitted to Coop.

Priced around 1300gbp

Carlos with that turbo you will definately need to go external. In fact you will need two pumps.

imho

Bosch 044, it can be put in tank (std pump housing).
And one external to work with swirl pot.

Carlos,

you will need >200lph for a good supply with fuel to get 600HP.
This won't do a 255lph Walbro pump. This pump does 255lph at zero pressure, but not at 5Bar, as you will need.
Calculation as follows: 3,5Bar normal fuel pressure plus 1,5Bar pressure at boost (to get your 600HP you will need about 1,5 - 1,6Bar boost with your good VE of the engine) - means you will need 200lph@5Bar fuel pressure.
A Bosch 044 will do this - you can put this pump into series to your Walbro pump in your tank - then this Walbro pump can work with zero pressure - the pressure will do your Bosch 044.
Or you do parallel switching of two Walbros 255lph - this is possible as well, but dangerous - if one pump is going to be defect, normally you won't regognize it - only under heavy load your engine will become too lean.
It's your decision.
Juergen

That's the way I've got the kappa set up, Walbro in the tank purely acting as lifter to keep the swirl pot up front full, and Bosch under the bonnet to feed the injectors

you can go in tank as i have there is a new pump in existance which gives either 235 or 335 litres per hour(cant remember which) at 13.5 (direct feed) and is the same size as the original coupe pump and fits in the original swirl pot..it is now the highest rated in tank pump and is supposed to be good for 600bhp..if you are not racing it is your cheapest option at about £150 it cost at least £500 with external pot ,pump, braided lines etc (bit cheaper if you fit yourself) and usually makes the car stink of fuel..
i have the first uk pump and will be the first to run it so will keep you posted as to how it performs

daeron... are you sure about this clutch fitting a coupe as when we spoke with them on numerous occasions they had nothing like that that would fit the coupe and they have even had to manufacture a super slim release bearing to fit the one we just managed to get in to avoid spacing it from the block..is it definately lbsft and not nm ? as this is the first of its kind according to them..before that they had done one for john s's car which wasn't as big a surface area or rated as high..i would like to think if one already existed they would have just sold it to us rather than all the measuring and fitting and sending stuff off for machining time and again to make one rated this high..

thinking about it 750nm is about 515 so that sounds like it could have been the basis of ours as they first offered one at just over 500 but i wanted more in case i go 4 wd next year and go bigger turbo..they uprated that to 550 and that was best we could get ..its also what the one carlos bought is rated to

Yes I understand perfectly and I accept your calculation!I do not want to invent two pumps in parallel,It is extremely dangerous!so I'll buy the bosh 044!
thanks for your help.. tongue

cheers Carlos

This year, she'll take it, because I will not make more than (450HP and 470hp),and next year I'll buy all the inmates of the box! :)but is very expensive frown

carlos its a lot easier and safer to run a single in tank..have you thought about a single pump that is rated higher than the 044 pump? it would be a good buy in my opinion

the money is the real problem in portugual and the guy's just think for a project like this if they have just forged engine and big turbo it will run great and reable...
if you start one project like this you have to buy a lot off componets like fulling( pump, injectors, FPR, swril pot etc) cooling (radiator, FMIC, oil cooler etc)pipings (vaccum pipes fmic pipes oil pipe etc) the most important item is the eletronic because if you had a bad map all the engine will sofer and bad...
this is a snow ball you cant put a big big turbo and them run on std fuel system...
cheers for all

hi 20vtuga...
my problem is not in money,I just said I was tired of spending money for now,my current problems are to be lack of time, and also the lack of time Mechanic!the problem is not lack of experience, because my mechanic knows exactly what he does...
everything you mention you on my car, I can say it has everything, just have not bought the ecu and fuel pump!
has a big problem in Portugal,we do not have anyone to do an excellent job in ecu of petrol cars!there is a big big problem...
but is now solved the problem of fuel pump and ecu...in summer you see ;-)...to make the first miles will not be necessary...I posted my project here in the forum,so also because we learn more, and I accept all kinds of opinions whether good or bad ;-)

about pretender as the friend 20vtuga mentioned,he is a user of this forum, and is moderator of forum fiatcoupeportugal!and he have a fiat coupe 2.0 20vt...now he make a good project,he have a standalone ecu and other things...and this week was mapped for one italian man...I found a great work...

see the video of this my friend and neighbor in youtube!
ALS and low pressure..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiqOb36BswU&feature=player_embedded

cheers for all
