Right, yesterday late afternoon, given it was so nice and sunny I thought it time I tackled my old rusting OMP strut brace. So, strip old paint with Nitromors - done Prime with 3 coats of primer - done Rub down with fine grade paper - done And this morning, paint with Halfrauds Broom Yellow paint. Now done. Anyone like my improvised spray shop (aka my apple tree)? Now, some of the yellow has run, and I know if I rub it down it'll look worse than just a bit of overun. And for me, who is a bit of a liability when armed with a paint can, it's a case of job done (in that it's yellow, not red). But it's not perfect. In future, I'll leave painting to the Cheech's of this world Pic of my improvised paint shop, looks like a medieval sacrifice... Now onto my 3 fuel caps...

Less is more! More thinner coats is better than 1 or 2 thick ones that end up running. Best leave it to us pros

I'm too impatient! Btw, with this in mind, don't suppose you need any help painting your flat? I've a surefire technique, I call it the lid off and throw at wall method God no! It's starting to take shape now, a lovely bathroom and bedroom i have now, The toilet and entrance hall next, but it'll be a while, i'm only doing it at weekends and i'm back in Chichester this weekend and next weekend is the BIAMF. I think it'll be the bank holidays before i really get cracking on the living room.
