Just spent the last few days refurbishing my tired alloys. Now i've done the last colour coat I believe before applying the lacquer im to rub down the top coat or some say you can just flash over the surface with lacquer let it dry then finish the spraying.

Just can't bring myself to scratch the hell out of my hard work, surely I can just spray over the top colour without rubbing it down ??

Only if the base coat is still quite new and soft. If you let it dry, go all scratchy.

I would just shoot the laquer on the base coat, I tried sanding lightly last time I did mine and was not that pleased with the results, so will do them again when I get time. Plenty of coats of laquer will give a nice shine.

Thanks folks, I'll just go for the non-scratchy method then

on single pack you can 2000 wet n dry, have done this many times.
But DONT do on silver it will scuff!!
