Isn't Southend on Sea one of the grimest places in the South of England? I went once to see the pier. There was loads of mega-chavs driving up and down the sea front. Even one or two "monster trucks". As night fell the wife and I beat a hasty retreat.
Went once on a coupe meet and we parked well outside the central area. That made it OK, just about.
No, the sea front at certain times of the day is grimey and chav infested. But..... Southend does have a lot to offer bar the sea front.
Def not a place for a Coupe meet, there are lots of Ford meets, wheel spinning, burnouts etc, Neons used to be as standard!
