Ive fitted one before.

Not my cup of tea but it was worth a slab of beer.

The "spark plug" style kits that rely on a surplus of unburnt fuel are vaguely amusing but not what you would think.

They usually only work on gear change at full chat.

I.e if you've have WOT then close the throttle to change gear you MAY, get a puff of orange flame billowing up the back of your bootlid.

And thats all it is, its not like Fast and Furious with jets of flame, just looks like a comically large lighter being lit.

Plus, if this happens then your probably running far to rich anyway. So its just a giant "Pull me VOSA" beacon or "Check out how rich my coupe is running" alert.

If you want flames spend the extra and run either Anti Lag or Launch Control.

Illegal on the road but not in private! don't set it off when a octavia is behind you.

JBT said the guy that works with him does a kit and won't damage your engine! Maybe ask him.
You are thinking of anything you can do to your car arnt you? What about getting a hid kit or something if the readys are burning a hole in your pocket.

As for anti lag suggestion! Quite expensive just to get a flame out the back and it will nacker the coupe in no time.

Very illegal.

And as above, wont be anything like you think its going to be.

And - YOU wont be able to see it, unless someone else is driving YOUR car!!!

I've seen them with a gas bottle in the boot. Either huge flames or Sci-Fi style blue ones.
Didn't look too difficult to fit as long as you get the proper kit. Relay, switch, nozzle, gas bottle and some pipes.

I know Bockers. I just give thanks that the cars are so few and far between that they aren't really picking up the reputation of chav-mobiles. If only the public could see the reality of the forum!

I dont really think the public will care about the coupe or the forum. Most people dont know about the coupes power, a flame will just add the touch of quality it needs, will go well with my neons and the spinners smile

Like I've said before, each to their own. If we all liked the same thing, the motor world would be full of bland eco warrior diesels.

But, imho, hurl tongue
