Sorry to hear that, having lived down in Portsmouth/Southsea for over a decade I've seen this so many times. Kicked off mirrors, smashed windscreens, cars being walked over.

I've used Anson Autos (behind Fratton Park) for some repair work and I got a quote from them to respray my bonnet and front bumper for about 500 Inc. Vat.

It's worth taking the car there for a free on-the-spot quote or to see if they can do repair it without having to respray it etc

Portsmouth is mostly on street parking, very rare to find a garage and secure parking.

If it were a "NEW" phenomena then such a comment would be justified. These things have however been going on for years, so the country is not changing. There have always been scumbags and there always will be

Cheers for the comments guys. Spoke to Neil Willis too, they said if the cost of repair comes to more than 60% of the cars value it might get wrote off. My excess is £350 so might see if I can get it touched up for that and not bother going through insurance.
