Bloomin windy, showers but in spite of that a nice relaxing day in good company, really enjoyed meeting all the new guys, and thanks for all the tips and elbow grease on paintwork restoration amongst other stuff lol. Must have been 8 of us showed up in the end. Real shame about the lad ?Sparky who lost his clutch on the way up though as well as earning what sounds like a nasty hole in his wallet Going to sort out a mound of pics which I'll post later after doing the shopping My personal favourite was the red Ferrari Dino parked up next to the 355, they are such attention-seekers rolling up late so that the only available space is right in the centre.... We had at least a sheltered spot further down the field but there were only a few moments when it felt safe to open the bonnet, excepting those spivs who have replacement struts of course

Hey guys. What an eventful day. Thanks to all who made the effort to attend. Good to see we got parked in a good spot. Just enough space in the end!! On the way there... Unfortunately, after ronnie tried to race me, and lost, he lost his clutch pedal. Me and Barry werent taking any chances... Ronnie missed Stans chat about getting the car off the road as far as you can and getting out... In comparison... All joking aside Ronnie, hopefully an easy fix!! Me and Baz waited until the AA guy arrived and then headed off to SICD to meet up with the rest. I'll leave the event pics to the others. Good to see Hubby and Baz again. Nice to meet Duffy and Edinburgh. Didnt get much a chance to speak to the other guys sorry. Looking forward to the pics!! Ross

Kelv the reason why there were no open jaws is that they would have blown off apart from a couple of minutes calm... Apart from an odd shower it was fine and the grass was firm, just an odd coffee or two req. to keep out the draught Incidentally the coffee stall guy who had Italian equipment and tasty stuff on sale expressed an interest in getting into the Hopetoun House scene, having been been rebuffed last year. I took his business card thinking of putting his name forward this year but made no promises of course, wondering if the stalls at Hopetoun are a bit of a closed shop.... Also neglected to post this wee gem of a pic: Thanks to Duffy [and daughter] for that

Glad you guys had a great day, sorry for messing it up abit. The pictures taken are excellent Hopefully meet all you guys again at the next one. Thanks to everyone for their advice and help at the side of the road and a very special thanks to the guys who waited in the rain with me whilist I stood away from my car, thanks guys This car really pushes me Ended up with a tow to Morrisions, to check the motor over, then a TWO hour toe back home where the car sits on the driveway now, hopefully Ill know tonight what happened to it. When the aa guy got out of the van with a mask on I felt like a small child. As for the GAZIBO, it was in the back of the car with a chair, but none of my shinning nights in armour would take it for the last half an hour drive, so came back with me and is back in the shed, all that fuss, I know , I know Sorry I couldnt make it all the way, but I did try , now I have got to get to the bank statement (AA ) before Janice or there will be trouble Cheers Ronnie

Felt gutted for poor Ronnie, his car was looking fingers crossed it'll be sorted for Hopetoun so it can get a proper showing . As usual it was good to catch up with old friends and meet new ones who'll hopefully make it along to the next meet . Baz

Ahh that answers it The wind can't be anywhere as bad as Crail...or can it? I'm not sure about this years arrangement but the management of Hopetoun house were not too keen on external catering before due to obvious reasons. Hopefully it would be different this year though. If its a stall selling exclusively italian produce then its worth putting it forward...
