Ever since i picked up my broomy i've loved my car,she never fails,as i'm sure you'll all agree, to put a smile on my face for many reasons.

However after reading lots of other posts by others in preparation for spa and many more in the tuning section i have now decided it's my turn...
So inevitably the bug has now bitten and after two and a half years of owning my little baby,I am now prepared to start upping the power laugh In part, thanks to a sizeable tax rebate to get me started...

Once annually,i love being self employed. thumb

Plans for now after speaking to both Joe and Flea are to ugprade the turbo as mine now has a cracked housing...To accompany this..FMIC,uprated plugs, uprate the ebv and a couple of other supporting mods.Oh, and of course yes a 'flea' map..

So any offerings of advice will be greatly welcomed.Right now i can't decide on which turbo to get rolleyes

I run a very similar set up and have been very happy with it, it's a fast enough road car to keep up with and beat (sometimes) the best of the rest (main stream manufacturers) offerings. Think about brake pads and discs, not callipers, and a stiffer rear ARB, new wishbones and billie/eibach suspension to make the best of all that lovely extra power driving
Good luck and have fun wink I hope you're rebate was large? or you have an understanding partner? or the bank manager is a friend wink

You did well holding out for 2 and a half years... I lasted 6 weeks. Let the slippery slope of modding begin.

I would go with one of fleas hybrid turbos ( here ) with supporting mods, I'm sure he will advise you!...its just a case of how much power you want and how much money you want to spend?
Be warned as well, its easy to snowball out of control as one thing leads to another leading to up-rated clutches etc.,as pondman said you should upgrade you suspension and brakes when you increase your power, another thing to think about!
A decent 300hp set up done properly with suspension and brakes will cost you about £3000.
Also modified cars need looking after so it does not stop after the initial outlay, they are a constant money drain. crazy

I've already done these to a degree...being that i've fitted HEL braided hoses from the group buy last year.As well as installing Brembo discs all round, Bendix pads on the fronts and Mintex on the rear from AA..Once initial engine mods are carried out,and new splitters put on bumper with bonnet respray, I intend on taking full advantage of the DBA/Pagid group buy i read a couple of months ago to bring brakes right up to spec.

I'll then be looking to overhaul suspension.New wishbones, bushes etc etc and of course better springs/dampers,most likely billies and eibachs...unless someone can recommend something better laugh

My plan,as of today has started off lovely, with the purchase of a Garrett GT28RS(decided upon after speaking to Barbz) and an SIP.

As mentioned i have spoken to Barbz and after doing so,to go with the turbo and SIP i'll be going for an evo 6 FMIC,Wabro 255 with wiring mod,3.8 FPR,ITG sports air filter kit and a Flea map.

The only thing i need to worry/think about is the exhaust.
