I am hoping to go and see this either Sunday evening or Monday afternoon. Just looking on Youtube for the trailer and found this Lewis looks close to tears just before climbing out, I found it moving to see these two in such awe of both the man and machine. Worth watching, even if you have seen it before. Really want to go and watch the movie now. I have a feeling I might shed a tear! RIP Ayrton

Haven't seen the movie & although Senna is indeed a legend to some, his aggresive style didn't go down too well with other drivers. This said, that's what racing was all about. Senna caused intentionally tactical accidents shall we say, in his career. Brave man 'though....or did he have a !!!

Off topic, but I remember back in '73 as a young man attending the Scottish motor show in Glasgow, I had the chance of meeting Jackie Stewart, bit of a legend & although I didn't do the hero worship thing, even back then, he was some what of a personality to meet in the racing world.
My bubble was burst big time as I approached the wee man (he was quite small) as I asked for his autograph, only to be totally ignored. I remember seeing up close his racing car & how you could put your hand into the very wide slick tyres. I was ready to meet my hero, he was surrounded by a bevy of lovely ladies. Things are just not what they seem at times.

Absolute must see film. The in-car footage in particular is incredible. definitely appeals to car nuts and otherwise alike.
Some of the clips - like the brief one with Roland Ratzenberger on the Saturday before Senna's accident - are very moving.
Where I watched it there were people stuck in their seats with the credits long gone. All were silent. It's that kind of film.
Cheers, Hedge

Reubens was damn lucky that day - his deceleration was formidable. His was arguably the worst crash of the three. Really was a black weekend....

Martin Donnelly didn't look too clever in the aftermath of his crash. Again he was ok though eventually.
The footage of Ratzenberger's crash in the film is a bit hazy. His pre-race thoughts however are harrowing in many ways..

I saw this in Oxford yesterday, really good.
I wonder if they will manage to sling some extra footage on the DVD release..... There is a long version called The Speed of Sound. It's got about an hour's worth of interviews included throughout the film. I managed to 'acquire' a download of the movie the other day and thought it was just part of the film, then realised it had been running for over two and a half hours!! The interviews are interesting though, but I'll go and see it at the cinema so I can see the proper theatrical release.
