Didn't someone look at this ages ago, and after getting it back to the UK it would cost around £10+. Still not much for a new coupe though.

If i won the lottery, i'd buy it, have it shipped over, and then put in a giant zip lock bag for safe keeping.

Moi aussi, earlier, no reply yit. Being a bit ignorant about these things I also asked them what model it was It's listed as a 2007 car, didn't know they were still made that late?

As far as we know (the Malaysian owners), there are no more brand new Coupes for sale anymore. It is true that we got the last batches from the factory, and for a long time Malaysia was the only place where you could buy a new one.
Word has it that the Fiat importers sold their last unit in 2009. Of course it is possible that those units would have been bought and remained undriven.
A pristine used Plus (manufactured in late 2000, registered in 2008/2009 and with less than 5k miles on the clock) would sell here for about £15k. A brand new one, if it existed, is probably more like £20k, and that's before import costs.
And just for comparison, a fairly average used Plus on the market here (registered in the early 2000s, with maybe 50k miles on the clock) go for around £12k on the used market. Of course, this is in a country where a brand new base-spec BMW 320 costs nearly £50k...).

A new one will still have all the little niggles and issues that a used one has. At least if you buy a looked after used one, some of those niggles will be ironed out.
You could just spend £10k on getting a used one up to 'as new' condition. It will still have been made in 2000, just not sitting there waiting for someone to buy it.

So, seeing you are at the coalface here and give us good info which the seller has so far not come up with [to me anyway], are you implying that this - it is still exists - is a plus perhaps from 2001 or so but not registered until 2007 and is the last of the batch? The last Coupes ever made (all Pluses) rolled off the line in late 2000 and reached Malaysian shores in March 2001 (these cars have 2001 recorded as the year of manufacture in local registration documents, even though they were actually made in 2000). This last batch was huge - I don't know the actual number, but the main Fiat dealership here bought the whole last run off the factory. It was big enough that many cars were left unsold five or six years after they arrived. This car in the ad was probably manufactured in 2000 and first registered in 2007. However, my gut feel tells me those photos were taken many years ago (quite honestly, nobody is going to put a ribbon on a Coupe like it's some kind of Ferrari these days), and this ad was farmed from a long-expired orphan ad entry from another site. Would be happy to be proven wrong, of course. But if there were any new ones available for sale, someone in the Malaysian scene (very tight community) would know about it. I know of Kelv, but have never met or spoken to him personally. PS - I just checked the import docs for my car (one of the last batch), and the car was cleared by local port customs on 15th March 2001.

Hmmm... not sure about this - have details of said importer? And the price cannot be right - 7k USD is less than the local market value of a used and abused 16VT.
And we know for a fact the last Coupes were made in 2000, not 2001 (at least that's what I thought). Also km/h dials were installed in the Malaysian cars because we're on metric here. Otherwise, everything else is fully-loaded UK-spec.

All I will say is beware of scammers. It just a warning, not a statement of fact.
However I would buy a plus locally for say £4-5k, get the engine upgraded and spend 3k to spray it whatever your heart desires. Even after a leather overhaul of the seats, it wont be over £10k..
It too much hassle to import and still is a 10yr old car.
