Nice, But then so was Duncans at only £5K.
I notice it'a also seems to be overdue a Cambelt change too!
It'll certainly be interesting to see whether it sells at that price though.

I think in some areas it is better than mine (I.e the climate control works perfectly!) but I would very surprised if it went for 7k.

Top examples of fiat coupes only appeal to a small percentage of buyers, simply as they can be picked up for peanuts these days. Maybe in a few years when most of the sheds have disappeared maybe they'll demand that price.

As it stands, I certainly don't think it is worth 2 grand over my car laugh

Corrected for you tongue

FWIW I think you advertised too light, the market is saturated with sheds right now, once they have filtered out then I'd expect prices of more cared for examples to increase given their future rarity and exclusivity.

And with your old one, you could strip out the blinging unecessary audio setup and of course the blinds and recoup a fair chunk. Then put a £200 setup in, that's the max required in any car as it's a car and not a vehicle for audio quality!!

I wish the seller of the 7k moonie all the best with the sale.

I wouldn't pay £7k for a Coupe with that kind of mileage, pristine or not.

Yups, Scooby's old car. Sold it when they evacuated to Canada. Has had a complete respray I believe. But must say this is looking really really good! Hope it'll go to a very caring owner.

Very possible. I have three engines which do that.

Mine RARELY goes below 3bar, even when I've sat in London traffic.

Very seldom on a very hot day when I've been stuck in traffic, it will drop to around 2.75bar.

Yes..me me me me me !!
1997 20vt 70k
It has to be VERY hot and stuck in traffic to drop to 2.5
Warmed up and cooled down by me since new.
Oil changed every 3k or once a year (which means every 1100 miles usually).

Yup, 3 bar loud and clear constant in mine too except that little drop to 2.75 in stop/start occasionally smile

Back on topic, bought lunch for my daughter and b/f today and as he has just extolled the virtues of his new job after one week he is already talking iPhone and car-change rolleyes

So instead of 7-10k on a Mini Cooper S I pointed him this-a-way and am sending them the link the noo... smile

I see over 50 of these a year and not 1 of them holds 3 bar when hot.
Unless you mean warm?

Hot imo means you have taken the car for a spirited drive.
Most will hold 3 bar if you let them idle to operating temp with no revs.

Just stumbled upon this one, and where as my whore of a car drives me to the point of beating it to death on some occasions, i have to say - my 20VT, in my humble opinion of course, is pretty much on par with that Plus on condition, despite having done 8k more miles.

My wheels need a refurb to be 'as new' and there is one small mark on the N/S rear quarter where i dropped a spanner down the side of it rolleyes, although only visible if you REALLY look for it.

Even so... if his is worth £7k... shocked

I've never seen my oil pressure below 2.5bar even toasty hot, and some of the mods I have on mine are a definate upgrade from standard.

Granted its only a Plus in disguise, but still.

Anyone who saw it at Spa might agree with me...

It's only 'worth' 7 grand if someone actually buys it!

I really can't see anything other than genuine LEs and Plus's holding high value in the future.

On the flip side of this - What else can you get for £7k that looks, sounds and goes like a Coop?

C'mon though Shiny. Pay for the best and you'll have a fully sorted car that needs nothing. I did when I bought my car and the only money I have had to spend on it in 2 years and 12k is for Mods. Absolutely nothing has failed/needed renewing on the car. The only other 'similar' car I would consider would be a Brera S spec V6 but I would have to pay nearly triple the cost.

Aye true enough, dunno, all depends, that 7k Plus might have reams of niggles just about to raise their heads, and a little unloved 1k car might be as tight as a drum.

Gamble.

Yes and no.

Take as an example - Proccy's car.

Think of the ££££'s he has spent on that - and the bitch still keeps giving him grief.

A 'high value' coupe does not come with a bullet proof warranty i'm afraid.
