I am told that headwork improves MPG. Some guys got 450 miles per tank.. I think its Nigel..maybe wrong.

Anyway you can always keep the coop and do this:

Running costs are causing a drop in purchase price of top end sports cars AMGs, M3s, RS's and so forth.

Personally, if i could i'd sell the coop and and get a Lotus Elise. Great light little cars that'll give you 50mpg on the motorway.

I'm not sure i'd want to do a 70mile commute everyday in it though! My 13 mile commute though... yes please!

They just feel tighter and handle better.

Don't get me wrong, the 156 and Coupe are a couple of my favourite cars, but sometimes after driving them and then a GT it just feels like I've stepped 10 years into the future.

might have to try the Gt :), although my 156 is a face lift with veloce suspension uprated to Ti speck and running wider offset GTA alloys. It does feel very solid and very tight, felt as good as my dads low miles, new 320d.

I am probably a little biased as although I prefer the alfa in a lot of ways I do miss the fact the coupe feels twice as fast and has a beautiful engine note also my coupe although having slightly less feel actually corners far faster particularly on fast roads, although it is NOT running standard suspension.

on the coupe it's running renewed wishbones, droplinks etc. Also has a top strut bar camber bolts and lower brace, with a koni suspension kit, it is harder and more raw than some kits but it does handle very well. more so on faster bends.
