There is only one name that ever pops up for excellent mapping services.

As you already know, he is in Bristol.

If I were you I'd either travel to Bristol or not have a re-map, it that simples.

Is there anyone in the UK that can actually remap a Coupe apart from Flea?

Mark_S is correct in that Perfect Touch have remapped a lot of Coupes.

However, the mapping guru, "Tweenie Rob" was tragically killed in 2009 while riding as a passenger in a modded Skyline

I'm not sure if Perfect Touch have found another mapper, but I doubt he had Rob's knowledge of Coupes

I found perfect touch - my car was the first 20VT Rob ever mapped. That was on a Unichip, rather than a live map. I asked at a lot of places, including Emerald as to who could map the 5 pot. Most would not touch it unless you gave them a lot of money, as it's not an engine / ecu that is commonly known. Perfect Touch were willing to put the effort into learning the ECU, as presumably they saw that there was a market for it. Whilst there I had a lot of time for Rob (who is sadly no longer with us as Nigel has pointed out), but I was not a big fan of the owner himself.

You have to be very careful indeed when choosing someone to map your car - they get it wrong and it will blow on the dyno, or shortly afterwards, and it will be very hard for you to claim it's their fault.

As far as I'm aware Flea has not had one bad write up, and he has mapped a lot of coupes now. He gets good power, has lots of happy customers, and is also very reasonable. Do you need to know any more than that? laugh
