Happy to say this Coupe has been saved from the scrappies by the ('offending' party's) insurance company thanks to proving a Coupe is worth double of what the small booklets say.
- rear quarters damaged
- door damaged
- 2 rims damaged
- oil cooler damaged
- both suspension arms damaged
All in all the 'damage value' was estimated at about the cost of 7 cambelt/waterpump/tensioner changes (or more than half the price of what Scooby's old one is hoped to sell for), and the value of the car was 'decided' to be quite a bit more than the price at which it was bought 8 months ago (buying price + already executed repair work), which is considerably more than double the value of the damage.
I guess many (and Barnacle) will be pleased to hear this. So all you guys have to fix is the lousy economic situation in the UK. So log out of the Forum and start working!
